Which goods must be marked for Russia, Belarus and the EAEU?
In Russia (Chestny Znak, “Honest Sign”) a unique Data Matrix code is already required before sale for cosmetics and perfume, beverages, confectionery, snacks, light industry and apparel, and the list grows every year. Belarus runs its own system, Electronic Mark, with its own list and dates, and the rules are being aligned across the Eurasian Economic Union. Do we need a Russian company?
No. You sign a standard service contract with our Belarusian company. Codes are ordered through your importer’s account or through our service-provider account.
What is an authorised warehouse?
Our warehouse is on the Belarus Ministry of Taxes list of warehouses for storing and marking goods (Resolution No. 17 of 3 May 2021, Annex 3, entry 75). To be listed, a warehouse has to meet state requirements: marking equipment and software, proper storage conditions and controlled access. Its owner must have no tax arrears and no administrative offences in business or taxation.
Why mark at a warehouse near the EU border?
Our warehouse in Sharkovshchina, Belarus, is 50 km from Latvia and 140 km from Lithuania. Goods leave the EU, are marked and stored right inside the customs union and continue to Russia and the EAEU, with no extra transport leg and less time than marking deeper inside the region.

How much does marking cost?
The price is the operator’s fee for the codes plus our work: printing, application, aggregation. It depends on the batch size and the number of products. We send an exact quote within 1 business day.
What happens to unmarked goods in Russia?
Administrative liability under Article 15.12 of the Russian Code of Administrative Offences, up to confiscation, and in some cases criminal liability under Article 171.1 of the Criminal Code. The batch can be blocked in the system.
